The Island Concert Association presents a concert by the True North Brass at the St. Simons Presbyterian Church, 205 Kings Way, St. Simons Island on Tuesday, January 24, at 7:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. The concert is in memory of Mildred Jayne, whose bequest underwrites its cost.  This is the second concert in the Association’s current season and features a Canadian brass quintet that Fanfare describes as “the real Canadian brass.” The ensemble made its debut in 1997 and has toured in China and throughout North America. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says of the group that they are “a real musical blast out of Canada, as riveting and compelling as the North wind itself.”  The Island Concert Association is in its 26th year of offering free concerts by artists of national and international renown. Its programs are supported by gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations.   - -click HERE for Bios and Concert information
